ELECTRICITY TRAINING INSTITUTE, SAROJINI NAGAR LUCKNOW

HISTORY :      Established in the year 1963.

LOCATION :    At Lucknow-Kanpur National Highway, Ten (10) km from Charbagh Railway Station & Three(3) km. from Lucknow (Amausi) Aerodrome.   

FACILITIES : 1.The Institute is equipped with three Lecture halls, two computer labs each eqipped with 15 nos. systems ,one auditorium, two hostels (twenty double bed room each), two dining halls with kitchen and other supporting facitilities.

2.The Technical Training Center, at Allahabad under it's jurisdiction also imparts practical training for employee & officers.

ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF : The Institute is headed by Er.    -, Supt.Engineer,  Er,I.K.Bhardwaj Dy.Director, Er.S.D.R.Pandey Exe. Engineer, Er.Meena Chanana Ex Engineer . Besides this there are other  supervisory, ministerial & operating staff.

ACHIEVEMENTS : The Institute has been recognised by the Central Electricity Authority, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India as Category-I institute vide letter no.30/Trg-UPPCL(E.T.I.)/2002/1136 Dated 01.05.2002.  

The Institute caters various long term/short term/refresher courses to it's officers in the field of Transmission & Distribution, Accounts, Establishments, Computers and managerial subjects.

The Institute also arranges various training programmes at Zonal Headquarters for operating and supervisory staff.

The  Institute is also imparting technical training to Officers/officials of the Govt. Deptt. such as Directorate of Electrical Safety, Polytechnics (Under Director, IRDT,Technical Education,Govt. of U.P.), Revenue Department (UP Gov.) etc.
